Putting those finishing touches on your paintings.
Artists may add highlights or add of pops of color to enhance details in a painting as finishing touches. Some artists sign their painting as the finishing touch. One often overlooked finishing touch that takes a piece of art to another level is framing. In the photo below, this watercolor painting is nice. This painting has a border that was created in the painting process. Tape was applied to the paper prior to painting to hold the paper in place during the painting process. This border helps to define the piece but look how different the same painting appears in the second photo.
