The first photo below was taken during the painting process. Notice the test paper on the lower right. My paint palette did not contain the exact colors used in the instructional video so I improvised, (Maria Raczynska's video link is posted below). Finding just the right color and hues for the water and the green used on turtle was a bit, trial and error. Using scrap paper to test the paint that I mixed before I applied it to my project in process worked. Just mixing paint on your palette will not always be the color you think it is. The paint/ paper reaction changes once the paint is absorbed. Testing your mixed colors before using them in a project is a process that I will continue to use in the future. I learned the hard way when a recent painting had a less than expected outcome.
