Searching the internet has the ability to create moments of serendipity, in other words, you are searching for one thing but you find something else. In a recent search, I found a Chinese Proverb about a red thread that really spoke to events that are going on in my life. The story has a few versions but the common thread is that a red string is tied to a person when they are born and the other end is attached to the person they are destined to meet. The thread stays in place no matter what circumstances happen in your life and it does not break.
In recent years adoption agencies have picked up on this Proverb and have tied it to the relationship in a newly formed family as a result of adoption.
No matter what story you tie this Proverb to, it is a beautiful idea. I hope to paint something in the future for this inspirational Proverb.
